Eastbrook Academy Reviews

Eastbrook Academy has a good curriculum which challenges every student especially minority students. The curriculum is good but it's bias.. u have multi- cultural students with a western European taught curriculum with little to none exposure to any other cultures. The staff consist of hardly anything other than white and the lower grade principal seems afraid to hire minority teachers as if it will hurt the school's image; which i feel it will actually benefit the students especially minorities. They would have teacher's who could relate to their style of learning and will not be made to feel as if they dont meet the school standards because they may need to be taught one lesson a different way, that is what a teacher needs to know. Eastbrook is a good school, but would be extremely great if it embraced other cultures more, instead of forcing the western european way on all,

I've been attending Eastbrook Academy for 4 years, and as for the curriculum, it's great! But the teachers are something else, the teachers talk to you like you're a stupid idiot, and they have condescending attitudes towards students. Some even act racist. The principals don't listen to your comments or concern, and if you do talk to them, they never do anything about your issue. I'll just be glad to leave.

Our sons have been enrolled at Eastbrook Academy from kindergarten through high school. At each juncture (middle school, high school), we compared other schools for academics, diversity, Biblical world view, extracurricular activities, tuition cost, class size, faculty and found Eastbrook Academy excelled in each area. The current senior class has one of the highest ACT averages (29.5) in the area. I give Eastbrook Academy the highest rating.

Eastbrook Academy offers a rigorous academic environment in a diverse and loving community. My kids have been here since the inception of the school in 1998. I'd definitely encourage you to check it out!

Eastbrook Academy is a great school that provides three essential elements to help me as a parent raise smart, confident, moral children. First, solid academics are taught well by gifted, nuturing teachers. Second, my children are given individual attention daily, their talents are recognized and encouraged, and their achievements are recognized and celebrated by their teachers and classmates. And finally, Eastbrook Academy uses prayer and Godly principals to direct decisions and disciplinary actions and integrates Christ naturally in curriculum and classroom activities. As a parent, I couldn't imagine a better, safer place for my child to be during the school day.

The school has strong academics, building up extracurricular activities and sports, and offer many opportunities for students. A dynamic often observed with christian schools are alliances with the members of the church and Eastbrook is no exception to this bias. There is no such thing as a perfect school environment, but you have to weigh what is important and what you are willing to deal with to ensure a strong academic and social foundation for your child.

I have been attending Eastbrook Academy since I was in 1st grade, I am now in 10th grade. Eastbrook has been a wonderful experience, with a great community, there are very little problems within the school. The teachers are wonderful people, and intelligent, which makes for good teaching. Going to eastbrook, I am taking AP biology in 10th grade right now, AP Macroeconomics, and my uncle, who is a senior in a milwaukee public school, dropped out of AP Biology in 12th grade. The atmosphere is wonderful, there is great diversity, and a friendly environment overall. I've depended on Eastbrook's community many times in my life, in which I would have had trouble w/o Eastbrook behind me. Walking homeless on the streets for a while I was able to go to one of the Eastbrook family's house and rely on their help. Great School.

My two boys were among the first twenty four kids to form this school. They were students of this school until we left Milwaukee and apart from my church, I felt such a sense of lose when we moved to Miami. They have the best teachers and the best principal. I hope Mrs Hollenbech, MS Griswold and all the other wonderful teachers are still working at this school. I guess you never appreciate what you have until you have lost them. The best school in my books!

Eastbrook Academy is a great school i have been going there since 4th grade and since i have been going there i have been pushed to do better everyday. It also just starting last year had the 8th graders take AP Biology which is a very hard test. EBA is a very good school to pick if a family is looking for a family friendly school

I have been researching schools for a while now since my son will be starting kindergarten in a year. Based on what I saw at EA and heard from other parents, there is just no other school in Milwaukee (public or private) that I would consider for my child. The school is very diverse, affordable (it also accepts choice vouchers) and academically rigorous. It draws students from the city as well as from the suburbs. It is just great.

EBA is a wonderful school and provides a really unique learning experience for the students who attend there. The curriculum is challenging and students do have to work hard, but the children really do surprise us by arriving and meeting the challenging in such an amazing way. The tuition is very affordable and the diversity is amazing is amazing. The school attracts families from the city and all of the surrounding suburbs. My children have attended EBA since kindergarten and they have no desire to be anywhere else.

EBA is truly unique. It is Christ centered, academically excellent, and may be the most ethnically and economically diverse school in the area (or anywhere).

I went to EBA from K5 to 8th grade. I learned a lot and I had a great 2nd grade teacher, but it was very stressful in Middle School with homework. And they don't listen to your comments, concerns, and suggestions.
